Sophie Alda an artist, designer, maker and facilitator working with the production and development of objects exploring the relationship between the functional, the sculptural and the narratively suggestive, approaching materiality and tactility in a playful way, rejecting the hierarchy of the practically useful art object within craft or otherwise. She is a founding member of workshop co-operative Clay Collective based in Hackney, London.
